Insider Info
Rural Market Overview
While urban living certainly has its advantages, some people long for a
rural setting, where nature is only a stone's throw from the back porch.
Fortunately, the Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry offer a variety
of residential choices, from country estates to hobby farms to waterfront homes.
The rural, urban and hobby farm markets began to heat up in 1996 and the market
remains sturdy. For the last few years the townships surrounding Cornwall have posted
higher growth rates than the City and well-priced hobby farms are scarce and in demand. Homes in smaller communities like Long Sault, Ingleside, Williamstown, Lancaster and
St. Andrews continue to be well supported.
